TEAM Mentor Program

The Grizzlies TEAM Mentor Program is an afterschool opportunity for 7th and 8th graders that pairs three volunteer male adult mentors with sixstudents to form a TEAM; each TEAM functions as a micro-community with its own identity, culture, values, and voice. Using curriculum developed in partnership with Facing History and Ourselves, the program is designed to help young people 1) make sense of their social context and how they fit into it, 2) create sustained relationships with adults who can provide them with knowledge, motivation and networks to succeed, and 3) act collaboratively with others to promote a better future for themselves and their communities.

Lunch Buddies Program

The Lunch Buddies Program invites community members to join a pair of students once a week over the lunch hour. The program is both personal and relaxed. Grizzlies Prep works to match each mentor with two 5th graders in the hope to see relationships throughout their middle school career.
